Fix sitelinks showing the wrong pages
Today's lesson: sometimes sitelinks — the extra menu links under your result — show pages you don't want, like an old login or a random blog post. You can nudge Google toward better ones.
Imagine your shop window displaying the broom closet instead of your best products.
Here's how to clean it up:
1. List the pages Google currently shows (search your brand name to see them).
2. For any weak one, remove or reduce links pointing to it from your homepage and menu.
3. Strengthen the pages you DO want by linking to them more, with clear matching anchor text.
Google weighs how often and how prominently you link internally. Fewer signals to the bad page, more to the good one, and it usually swaps over within a few weeks.
Try this: find one sitelink you dislike and remove its homepage link today. 🎓
