Organizing posts with categories and tags from the start
Categories are the big shelves your posts sit on. Tags are little sticky labels for specific details. Set them up before you have 50 posts, not after.
1. Plan 5 to 8 broad categories that cover your whole topic. Fewer is better.
2. Go to Posts, Categories, and add them.
3. Delete the default "Uncategorized," or rename it to something useful, so posts never land in a junk drawer.
4. When writing, tick exactly one main category per post.
5. Add 2 or 3 tags only for repeating specifics (like a product name), not for every word.
Don't over-tag, a tag used on just one post helps nobody.
In plain words: a few clear shelves and sparing labels keep your blog browsable as it grows.
