Repurposing across platforms vs writing native to LinkedIn
Everyone says: "Repurpose your tweets and threads to LinkedIn — work once, post everywhere."
The claim: cross-posting is efficient leverage.
What's actually true: a copy-pasted thread reads as a copy-pasted thread. LinkedIn's audience, pacing, and acceptable self-promotion level differ from X — Twitter brevity reads as thin here, and Twitter snark reads as try-hard. The efficiency is real for the idea; it's false for the format.
Reuse the idea and the data across platforms. Rewrite the opener, the length, and the close for each one — 10 extra minutes, not a fresh post.
It's not the repurposing that fails. It's pasting the same words into rooms that speak different dialects.
