URL Inspection "Test Live URL" vs the default indexed view
Inside one GSC tool there are two answers, and people read the wrong one. Worth the comparison.
The default Inspection view shows the last indexed state, your fix from this morning isn't reflected. Click "Test Live URL" and Google fetches and renders right now, showing whether your fix actually resolves the blocker (robots, render, canonical).
Pros (Test Live): real-time verification of a fix, shows live render + page resources loaded/blocked.
Cons (Test Live): doesn't change the index, no history, one URL at a time.
Pros (default view): tells you what's actually indexed and the reason it was excluded.
Cons (default): stale relative to your latest deploy.
Best for: always run Test Live after a fix before clicking Request Indexing, otherwise you re-submit the old broken version. Reading the wrong tab wastes your daily quota. 4.5/5 once you know which is which.
