High-rate vs high-EPC categories: rank by EPC, not by %
The commission % chart is a trap. Effective earnings = rate x avg cart x conversion. n=30 days, blended:
▇ Luxury Beauty 10% — EPC $0.41
▅ Furniture/Home Improvement 3% — EPC $0.29 (big carts offset low rate)
▃ Electronics 1-2% — EPC $0.12 (high price, brutal rate)
▁ Video Games 1% — EPC $0.05
Electronics looks lucrative (high cart) but the 1-2% rate guts it. Furniture's 3% beats it on big-ticket carts.
So what: sort your content pipeline by historical EPC per category, not by the headline rate. The 10% beauty link and the 3% sofa link can both beat a 2% laptop.
