The Community Rules Rewrite Playbook
Nobody reads a 20-point rulebook, and unread rules don't moderate anything. Rewrite yours:
☐ Cut to 5 rules max — if you can't enforce it consistently, delete it
☐ Frame each as a behavior, not a ban ("Share wins with numbers" beats "No vague flexing")
☐ Lead with the ONE thing that protects the culture
☐ Add a one-line "what gets you removed" so it's unambiguous
☐ Put it in onboarding flow AFTER first value, not as the gate
☐ Link the full version for the 2% who want detail
Test: ask a random member to name 2 rules. If they can't, your rules don't exist operationally.
