"Pin a comment to boost engagement." People pin random questions and call it strategy. Comments matter because they create rewatches and dwell time — the metrics the algo actually reads. Seed deliberately:
— Pin a comment that contradicts or extends the video, forcing a re-look.
— Ask a question answerable only by rewatching a specific second.
— Reply to early comments within 20 minutes to deepen threads during the test window.
The mechanism isn't 'engagement is good,' it's that comment-reading keeps the video on screen and loops it. Engineer dwell time, not vanity replies. A pinned comment with no job is decoration.
