"I got shadowbanned, that's why my views dropped"
The received wisdom: TikTok secretly throttles you, invisibly, as punishment. Beginners reach for it because "shadowban" explains a flop without blaming the content.
TikTok has no silent-throttle mechanism for normal accounts. What people call a shadowban is almost always one of two real things: a video that failed its first test batch (low completion), or a flagged clip stuck in moderation review, which shows zero views, not low views.
What's true: zero views = moderation hold (often music or a flagged word). Low views = the content lost the test. Different problems, different fixes. Diagnose which before crying ban.
