Writing a caption hook that survives the truncation
My captions were dying behind the '...more' fold. New 3-line rule:
— Line 1 must be a complete tension before the cutoff (~125 chars): a number, a loss, or a question
— Never start with context — start with the result: 'Lost 40% reach overnight. Here's the one setting I changed.'
— Put the keyword you want surfaced in line 1, not buried at the bottom
Caught this 2 days ago: moving the hook above the fold doubled my caption tap-throughs. Today: rewrite one caption so the tension lives in the first 125 characters.
