SOP #44 — Escrow Milestone Setup

Escrow holds funds with a neutral third party until conditions clear. Configure every escrow with staged releases, never one lump.

1. Open the transaction on Escrow.com or Payoneer Escrow. Fail if seller insists on direct wire.
2. Set Milestone 1: domain push to your registrar account. Release 40%.
3. Set Milestone 2: full asset handoff verified — files, logins, lists. Release 40%.
4. Set Milestone 3: 7-day functionality window with site live on your hosting. Release final 20%.
5. Define the inspection period per milestone (3–5 days). Fail if zero.
6. Name who pays the escrow fee in writing before funding. Fail if disputed at close.
