Geo-routing: Geniuslink vs Bitly vs native deep links

Geo-routing: Geniuslink vs Bitly vs native deep links

Decision rule for which link tool owns your traffic split.

— If your offer pays out per-country (Amazon storefronts, app installs) then use Geniuslink: it auto-routes a US click to amazon.com and a UK click to .co.uk, capturing commission you'd otherwise lose.
— If you only need clean branded short links + click counts then Bitly is cheaper and faster to set up. Don't pay for routing you won't use.
— If the destination is an app with an affiliate token then skip both and use the network's native deep link so iOS/Android opens the app, not Safari.

Checklist before you commit:
— Does the offer actually vary payout by region? If no, routing is wasted spend.
— Can the tool pass your sub-ID through? Test one click and confirm it lands in the network report.
— Does it preserve UTMs on redirect?

Definition of done: one test click per platform (iOS, Android, desktop) verified in the network dashboard, sub-ID intact.
