Shield vs LinkedIn's own analytics
Everyone says: "You need Shield to actually understand your performance."
The claim: native analytics are useless, the paid dashboard reveals the truth.
What's actually true: Shield is a prettier wrapper around the same impression and reaction counts LinkedIn already exposes. Where it earns the $25/mo is one thing only — historical post-by-post export, because native analytics forget. If you screenshot your own numbers weekly, you've replicated 80% of it for free.
Use Shield when you post 4+ times a week and need trend lines to kill underperforming formats. Skip it if you post twice a week — you'll stare at noise.
It's not a measurement tool. It's a memory tool, and most people don't post enough to need the memory.
