Cloning the viral template
Everyone says: "Swipe the structure of a post that went viral and refill it with your content."
The claim: viral formats are repeatable molds — same skeleton, new words, same result.
What's actually true: the template wasn't why it spread; novelty and the author's specific credibility were, and both are non-transferable. The mistake is the 50th 'I rejected a candidate and here's why' clone — the feed has pattern-matched it as a template, so it gets template-tier reach. Tested fix: steal the MECHANISM, not the wording. Ask why it worked (a counterintuitive claim? a vulnerable admission? a useful number?), then build that mechanism from your own material. Originality of substance, not structure, is what the algorithm and humans both reward on the second pass.
It's not a bad template. It's that 4,000 people used it before lunch.
