You refresh the famous posts. Refresh the page-2 ones instead.
Teams always 'refresh' the top performers — the stuff already at #2 that barely budges. Meanwhile a stack of pages sat at positions 8-15, one good push from page one. We were ignoring the easiest wins on the board.
My refresh queue is now sorted by opportunity:
— Filter Search Console for queries at position 8-20 with real impressions
— Those are pages Google already likes but doesn't love yet
— Upgrade those first — biggest move per hour of work
Don't polish #2. Drag page two onto page one. Go check positions 8-15 today.
