You have 400 pages and you're optimizing crawl budget. Stop.
The most common mistake in this whole topic is caring about it at all. Bloggers with 200 posts disallowing folders, pruning URLs, agonizing over crawl efficiency.
Here's the thing — Google has said directly that crawl budget is not something most sites need to worry about. If you have a few thousand URLs, Google will crawl them fine. The lever you're pulling isn't connected to anything.
The real failure mode: time spent on a non-problem is time stolen from content and links, which actually move rankings.
The fix: check Search Console. If pages get discovered and indexed within days, you have no crawl budget problem. Close the tab.
Crawl budget is a big-site problem. You don't have a big site.
