Do I need my own sending IP, or is a shared one fine?
An IP address is the "return address" your emails ship from. A shared IP is used by many senders; a dedicated IP is yours alone.
Why it matters: a dedicated IP gives full control, but it must be "warmed up" slowly and needs steady volume — too much for beginners.
— Step 1: Sending under ~50,000 emails a month? Stay on a shared IP. Seriously.
— Step 2: Sending huge, steady volume and want total control? Then consider a dedicated IP.
— Step 3: ✅ Don't chase a dedicated IP early — it can hurt more than help at small scale.
Homework: check whether your tool even offers this. Most beginners never need to.
