For a validation MVP, no-code beats hand-coding even if you're a strong engineer.

For a validation MVP, no-code beats hand-coding even if you're a strong engineer.

Developers reflexively build the MVP in their favorite framework because they can. But the goal of an MVP is learning, not architecture — and Bubble or Glide gets you to real users in days, not sprints. You'll throw most of it away regardless; throwing away no-code costs nothing. The honest line: once you've validated and need scale, performance, or a moat, you migrate to code. Building the throwaway version in Rails is optimizing the wrong variable. Speed to signal beats clean code on something that might not survive the month.

Agree? Or are you coding the MVP to avoid talking to users?
