Manual bid vs lowest-cost — most of you never touch manual, mistake
Lowest-cost (auto) → algo buys cheapest impressions, great for cold testing, terrible when CPA creeps and you can't cap it.
Manual / bid cap → you draw the line: 'don't pay over $14 a conversion.' Spend gets choppy, delivery dips, but your margin stops leaking.
Rule I use: auto until I know my real CPA, then manual cap at 1.2x that number to defend ROI on scale.
Auto forever = you let the platform set your ceiling. Set it yourself.
