Stacking too many targeting filters (the AND trap)
New to targeting? When you add filters, LinkedIn usually treats them as AND — the person must match all of them. Beginners pile on: this industry AND this seniority AND this skill AND this group AND 10+ years experience.
Each "AND" shrinks your audience. Stack five and you're down to 4,000 people, delivery dies, and costs spike.
The fix: pick one or two filters that truly define your buyer. Use the "Narrow audience further" option deliberately, and watch the size counter as you go.
Think of it like coffee filters stacked on top of each other — eventually nothing gets through.
Why it matters: each filter you add is a filter you have to be sure about.
Next step: remove your weakest filter and recheck audience size.
