Q: I have great articles getting zero traffic. They're indexed. What's wrong?

Short answer: they're probably orphan pages — indexed but with no internal links pointing to them, so they get almost no authority and rarely get re-crawled.

A page in your sitemap but linked from nowhere is a dead end in your site's link graph. Search engines may know it exists, but it sits at the bottom of the priority pile, and within a topic cluster it contributes nothing.

In practice: crawl your site (Screaming Frog free tier handles 500 URLs) and filter for pages with 0 or 1 internal inlinks. For each orphan, add 3-5 contextual links from related cluster pages and the pillar. The fix is usually small and the lift is fast, because you're connecting content that was already good — it just wasn't reachable.
