Fixed floor price vs dynamic: which to use
A floor price is the minimum you'll accept for an ad slot. Below it, you say no thanks.
— Fixed floor: you pick one number, like $0.50, and it never moves. Simple, predictable.
— Dynamic floor: software adjusts the floor per visitor and slot, based on what similar slots earned.
Tiny example: a fixed $0.50 floor blocks cheap ads but also blocks a real $0.45 bid on a low-value page. A dynamic floor would have taken that $0.45 instead of showing nothing.
1. New to floors? Start fixed and low.
2. Earning steadily? Test dynamic floors.
In plain English: fixed is simple; dynamic squeezes out more money but needs data to learn from.
