Q: Should I sync my product catalog manually or with an automated feed?
A: Count your SKUs and how often prices move.
Manual upload (add products one by one in Commerce Manager) is fine under ~50 stable products. Full control, no setup headache.
An automated feed (a file or app that pushes your store data on a schedule) wins the moment inventory or pricing changes often. It auto-pulls stock levels, so you stop tagging sold-out items — the #1 silent conversion killer in social commerce.
Threshold I use: more than 50 products, or prices that change weekly, go feed. Below that, manual saves you the integration time.
Also worth knowing: a stale catalog tags out-of-stock products, and platforms penalize listings that disappoint buyers — feeds prevent that quietly.
