Q: Instagram checkout vs. a link-in-bio tool — which converts better?
A: Different jobs, not the same job.
Instagram checkout (where it's available) keeps the purchase inside the app — great for one product, one impulse moment. But it's region-limited and you can only tag products from a connected catalog.
Link-in-bio tools (Linktree, Beacons, Komi) handle the opposite problem: many destinations, multiple offers, plus you can fire your own tracking and capture emails.
If you push one hero product to a US audience, native checkout usually wins on speed. If you rotate offers or run affiliate deals across brands, link-in-bio gives you control and analytics native checkout never will.
Also worth knowing: link-in-bio adds one extra tap — kill any interstitial 'choose a link' screen if you only have one offer.
