Bluesky vs Threads: which has better tooling right now

I manage accounts on both and tested the scheduler landscape for each over a month.

Threads tooling
— Pros: official Meta Graph API, Buffer/Metricool/Hootsuite all support it
— Cons: rate-limited, no DM or search API, polls unschedulable

Bluesky tooling
— Pros: fully open AT Protocol, anyone can build, firehose gives real-time data free
— Cons: fewer polished consumer schedulers, most are indie and rough

Verdict: Threads wins on mainstream apps today (Worth it if you live in Buffer). Bluesky wins on data access and custom builds (Worth it for developers). Annoying limitation: no single tool schedules both well, you'll run two stacks.
