Threads native scheduler vs a third-party tool
Meta added native scheduling inside the Threads app. I ran it against Metricool for 10 days.
Native
— Pros: free, zero API risk, posts exactly as written including polls and quotes
— Cons: schedule up to 75 days out but no bulk upload, no team access, no calendar view on desktop
Metricool ($22/mo)
— Pros: calendar, bulk CSV, multi-network in one queue
— Cons: API can't post Threads polls or quote-posts, silently drops them
Verdict: solo creators posting under 10/week should just use native (Worth it, it's free). Agencies managing volume need the calendar (Worth it). Annoying limitation: no tool, paid or native, schedules a Threads carousel reliably yet.
