Switched 'lowest cost' → cost cap, CPA variance halved
Lowest cost was a slot machine: CPA swinging $11 to $29 day to day, couldn't forecast spend.
Set cost cap at $16:
— delivery dropped 25% first day (expected)
— but CPA locked $14–17 range
— spend went predictable, scaled with confidence
14 days later: same volume, CPA std dev cut in half.
Cost cap = telling the algo your ceiling so it stops gambling. Wild swings? You've got no leash on it.
