Q: Does a live onboarding call for new partners actually pay off?
We A/B tested it. New approved partners were split: half got the standard email sequence, half were offered a 15-minute onboarding call with the manager.
The numbers after 60 days:
— Email-only group: 31% drove at least one sale
— Call group (among those who took the call): 54% drove a sale, and their average first-month revenue was nearly double
The call worked because we used it to set up tracking links live, point them to the best-converting creative, and answer the 'how do I get paid' questions that silently kill activation.
The catch: only about 35% of partners booked the call. So the lift applies to a self-selected, motivated group. Still, the call group's overall contribution justified the manager's time easily.
The caveat: this doesn't scale to thousands of signups, and low-intent partners won't book. Reserve calls for applicants who clear a quality bar, not every approval.
