His 70-word answer beat his 400-word essay

His 70-word answer beat his 400-word essay

A content writer tested length head-to-head, and the short version won clearly.

1. For two weeks he wrote long, detailed answers — around 400 words each. 1 got used.
2. For two weeks he wrote tight answers — around 70 words, three sentences. 4 got used.

Why? Writers skim dozens of replies. A short, clear answer is easy to drop straight into an article. A long one makes them hunt for the good sentence.

Think of it like giving directions — "turn left at the bakery" beats a five-minute speech.

A good shape: one sentence answering the question, one sentence with a real example, done. If they want more, they'll ask.

Try this today: take your next answer and cut it to three sentences before you send it.
