A single-thread feedback rule cut a project's edit time by 40%

A single-thread feedback rule cut a project's edit time by 40%
One client sent notes across email, Slack, and 6 voice memos. Editing that project took 9 hours; comparable projects took 5. The cost was scattered, contradictory feedback.

We standardized a feedback-consolidation SOP for every client:
— All notes go in one numbered list, one channel
— Timestamp every note ("0:04 — cut this beat")
— Conflicting notes get flagged back before any edit
— One round = one complete list; partial lists wait

On the next project with the same client, edit time dropped to ~5.4 hours — a 40% cut — because we edited once against a clean list instead of chasing memos.

Save the single-thread rule. One list, numbered, timestamped, or it waits.
