Updating Event schema for virtual format recovered an organizer's listings — eventAttendanceMode was the fix
A conference organizer's events stopped appearing in Google's event experience after they went hybrid. Their Event markup still implied physical-only and lacked eventAttendanceMode and eventStatus — Google had quietly required these. 140 events fell out of the experience. They added the attendance-mode enum and a VirtualLocation node.
— 132 of 140 events returned to the event listings in two weeks
— Event-result clicks recovered to 96% of pre-drop levels
What it means for you: Google added required Event fields during the remote-events shift and didn't loudly announce it. Missing eventAttendanceMode silently drops you. Watch this: re-validate Event schema any time your format changes.
