Made ONE facet crawlable on purpose. +$40k/yr from color pages.

Apparel store had color facets canonicaled away — standard advice. But "red dress," "black boots" etc. had real search volume nobody was capturing.

What I did:
— Whitelisted the color facet only: /dresses/red/ became a real indexable page with unique H1 + intro copy
— Kept size, price, sort facets canonicaled/blocked
— Linked the color pages from the parent category as a small nav block

3 months: 60 color landing pages ranking, ~3,300 clicks/mo, attributed revenue ~$40k/yr.

The trick is selectivity. One facet with search demand becomes pages. The other four stay noise — keep them blocked.
