I A/B tested the network with the worst forum reputation and it outperformed the "community favorite" by 28%.
Reddit hated Net X. I split $10k of spend anyway. The "loved" net paid $26 EPC-adjusted; the "hated" one paid $33.40 with faster postbacks and a 96% approval rate. Turned out the haters were running the wrong vertical there. Reputation is geo-and-vertical specific; nobody says that out loud.
