Case: A 5-metric weekly dashboard caught a 40% commission leak
A creator only checked the affiliate network dashboard monthly. A broken redirect ran 3 weeks before anyone noticed.
We built a Monday review system, 5 metrics only:
1) Clicks (vs prior week)
2) Conversion rate
3) EPC (earnings per click)
4) Top link by revenue
5) Any link with clicks but $0
Trigger rule: if a link has 50+ clicks and $0 conversions, then test the redirect that day.
The system surfaced a smart link pointing to a dead landing page — clicks were fine, payouts were zero. It had leaked ~40% of expected commissions for 3 weeks.
Result: fixed in 20 minutes once flagged. Now caught within 7 days, max.

— Dashboard reviewed every Monday
— $0-but-clicked links flagged
— Broken redirects fixed same day
