Comparison tables converted 2.3x better than prose paragraphs
A/B test on a coffee-grinder review, n=11,600 sessions split 50/50 over 45 days.
— Variant A (prose with inline links): click-to-page 6.1%, order rate 3.0%
— Variant B (sortable comparison table, price + 4 specs + button): click-to-page 14.2%, order rate 3.4%
The table didn't lift the order rate much. It lifted the click rate because the buy button sat next to the spec the reader was comparing. EPC went $0.21 to $0.49.
So what: tables win on click-through, not persuasion. Put the affiliate button at the moment of comparison, not at the article's end.
