A dietitian got quoted but got no link. Here's how she fixed it.
This is a happy ending that started as a small letdown.
1. A health site quoted her advice but only wrote her name — no link to her website.
2. Instead of being upset, she emailed the writer one polite line: "Thank you for including me! Would you mind linking my name to my site so readers can find me?"
3. The writer added the link the same afternoon.
That one email turned a plain mention into a real link. She later asked for 4 more old mentions to be linked, and 2 of the 4 writers said yes.
Think of it like a thank-you note that politely asks for one small favor.
A mention is your name in an article. A link is your name turned into a clickable path to you. They are not the same thing.
Try this today: search your name in Google and find one mention with no link.
