Adjust to AppsFlyer migration: the 11% attribution gap nobody warned about
A fintech app ran both MMPs in parallel for 30 days before cutting over. Same SDK events, same campaigns.
The gap: AppsFlyer attributed 11% more installs to paid social than Adjust did, driven entirely by view-through windows (AppsFlyer default 24h VT vs Adjust's 1h on that account).
Once they normalized both to 1h VT, the two MMPs landed within 1.8% of each other.
✓ Parallel run caught a config mismatch, not a vendor flaw
✓ Saved them from over-crediting Meta by ~$40k/mo in reallocated budget
✗ Double-SDK month added ~90KB to app size and one duplicate-event bug
✗ Raw-data export schemas differ — every dashboard had to be rebuilt
Verdict: MMP 'discrepancies' are usually window settings, not truth.
Best for: teams mid-migration who think one vendor is lying.
