"Post 3x a day to feed the algorithm"
A recipe creator burned out doing 21 videos a week at a median 1,800 views. She cut to 4 videos a week, spending the freed time on hooks and editing. Median jumped to 16,000.
Fewer posts, nearly 10x the reach. The frequency dogma had it backwards.
The mechanism: there's no "feed the beast" quota. Each video is judged on its own retention against a cold pool. Volume doesn't buy goodwill — but it does split your own attention, and it floods your audience cluster with weaker videos that train the system to expect mediocre completion from your content.
Frequency without quality isn't momentum, it's dilution. The system counts how well each video performs, never how many you shipped.
