The plain text file that decides if buyers trust you at all
ads.txt is a simple file at yoursite.com/ads.txt listing every partner allowed to sell your inventory.
Why it matters: buyers check it before bidding. If a partner you use isn't listed, many buyers skip your slot entirely, treating it as possible fraud. A missing line literally removes demand.
Tiny example: you add a new SSP but forget its ads.txt line. That SSP's biggest buyers quietly stop bidding on you.
One thing to try: every time you add or remove a partner, update ads.txt the same day. Ask the partner for their exact required line.
In plain English: if a buyer can't confirm a seller is really you, they walk away.
