The acquisition you'll feel through the API
Heard this week: word is a newly-acquired host is set to deprecate its older deployment and management API in favor of the parent company's unified one. A source says the migration tooling is 'coming,' which in acquisition-speak means after the next earnings call.
What it means for you: if your CI/CD or agency automation hits that host's API, a deprecation notice can break deploy pipelines on a timeline you don't control. Webhooks and tokens rarely survive these unification passes cleanly.
Unconfirmed, but we hear the old endpoints get a short sunset window.
Watch this: subscribe to the developer changelog, not just the status page. The API deprecation lands there first.
