AI-generated faces in creatives
Myth: "AI-generated model photos solve the creative bottleneck for dating ads."
The chats love AI faces because they dodge model releases and scale infinitely. Two problems they skip. First, the uncanny-valley tax: subtly wrong hands, plastic skin, impossible symmetry — the spending segment notices, and it reads as "fake site," which is the one association that kills dating conversions. The impulsive tail clicks; the wallet flinches.
Second, and underrated: platform detectors and review teams increasingly flag synthetic faces, and "AI-generated person depicted as a real dating prospect" is a misrepresentation angle reviewers are actively trained on. You traded a model-release headache for a policy-classification headache, on a platform that bans faster than it warns.
AI imagery has a place — backgrounds, abstract concepts, b-roll. As the literal "real person who wants to meet you," it fights the exact credibility the offer depends on.
Reality: AI faces scale your creative output and your skepticism problem at the same time, right where the offer can least afford it.
