The reusable partner brief (fill the blanks, send in 5 minutes)
A brief written from scratch each time is slow and inconsistent. Template it once, swap variables per deal.
The eight fixed sections:
— The offer in one sentence (what they're promoting, the hook)
— Audience angle (why YOUR audience should care)
— Must-say points (max 3 — more than 3 reads like a script)
— Must-NOT-say (banned claims, competitor mentions)
— Mandatory disclosure wording (exact text)
— Tracking link (their unique one)
— Deliverable + deadline (asset type, count, go-live, draft-review date)
— Approval process (one round of notes, then live)
The rule that keeps it human:
Give the angle and the must-says, then explicitly write 'in your own voice.' A scripted creator converts worse than a free one. Constrain the facts, not the delivery.
Checklist: all eight sections filled, must-says ≤3, disclosure verbatim, link attached, 'your own voice' stated. Save as a template; never start from a blank doc again.
