Today: curiosity that helps, not tricks
Push creatives live or die on the first line. Beginners reach for fake shock — "You won't believe this!" It gets taps, then nothing, because the page disappoints and people feel cheated.
There's a calmer way that pays better over time: honest curiosity.
— Trick: "Shocking secret doctors hate!"
— Honest hook: "A simple cooking swap that cut my grocery bill."
The second one still makes you curious, but the landing page can actually deliver it. Happy clickers convert; tricked clickers bounce and may mute you.
Remember, every angry person who mutes you shrinks the pool of fresh subscribers for everyone, including future-you.
A good test: would the headline still make sense if it were 100% true? If yes, you're safe.
Try this: rewrite one of your headlines so it could survive a fact-check.
Honest ads age better. So do honest marketers.
