How tracking knows the sale is yours
Ever worry the program won't credit you? Let's see how tracking actually links a sale back to you.
Think of it like a name tag on a gift. Your unique link is the tag; tracking reads it at checkout.
1. Your link carries a hidden ID that's only yours.
2. On click, that ID is stored (the cookie).
3. At signup, the system reads it and credits your account.
Example: tool.com/?ref=yourname — the ?ref=yourname part is your name tag. Strip it off and the credit vanishes.
In plain English: always share the full link; the bit after the "?" is what pays you.
Try today: copy your affiliate link and check it ends with your ID. Test it in a private browser window to confirm the dashboard registers the click.
