The click ID: the single piece of plumbing that makes tracking work

A click ID is a unique tag — like a coat-check ticket — created the moment someone clicks your ad. Every click gets its own ticket. That ticket travels with the person all the way to the offer.

Why it matters. When a lead happens, the advertiser sends the ticket number back. Your tracker reads it and says, "Ah, this is the same person from that specific ad." The whole conversion-matching system rests on this one ID.

Worked example. Person clicks your push ad. Your tracker stamps click ID = abc123. They get sent to the offer carrying abc123. They convert. The advertiser's postback fires back with abc123. Your tracker matches it and credits the exact ad, country, and device. Mystery solved.

The beginner failure. If the click ID isn't passed through the link properly, the ticket gets lost. Then conversions come back with no name attached, and your reports look empty even though you made money. Heartbreaking, and totally avoidable.

The fix is usually one parameter in your URL, often written like &clickid={clickid}. Your tracker documents the exact name to use.

Next step: open your offer link and find where the click ID parameter sits. Confirm it's there before sending real traffic.
