After a core update hit, which pages do I even fix first?

Q: My whole site dropped. Do I improve everything or just some pages?

A: Short answer: fix the pages that lost the most AND still matter — not the whole site blindly. Longer answer: core updates rarely hit everything evenly. Pull a before/after comparison in Search Console and sort by biggest click losses. Then split them: pages that lost traffic but target valuable queries get rewritten to genuinely satisfy intent; pages that were thin or off-topic might be merged or removed. Also look for a pattern — if all your losers are one content type (say, listicles), that format is your signal. Don't waste weeks polishing pages that never earned much anyway. Concentrate effort where recovery actually moves your numbers.
