<b>"Crawled - currently not indexed" is not a budget problem</b>
This status confuses everyone into crawl-budget panic. Read it literally: Google crawled the page. The crawler had budget, used it, fetched the URL. Done.
It then chose not to index. That's a quality and selection decision, not a resource shortage. Forcing more crawls won't change a value judgment. Re-submitting in Search Console, pinging, sitemap-spamming — none of it touches why Google declined.
The fix lives in the page: make it distinct, useful, and clearly different from your other 40 near-duplicates. Or accept that it's filler Google correctly skipped.
The crawler did its job. Your content didn't.
Indexing is a casting decision, not a queue length.
