Everyone hunts for a budget like it's a line item in Search Console. It isn't. Google has no single metric called crawl budget. The term is a folk word stitched onto two real things: crawl rate limit (how fast Googlebot can hit you without melting your server) and crawl demand (how much it wants your URLs).
Here's the thing — you can't "increase your budget." You can make your server respond faster, and you can make your pages worth wanting. That's it. There is no dial.
Most "crawl budget optimization" guides are optimizing a thing that was never a thing.
You're not spending a budget. You're earning demand.
