Today's lesson: the site name — the small brand name displayed above your result, like "SERP School" — is something Google chooses, but you can guide its choice.
Picture the sign above your shop; you want it to read your name, not a stray URL.
Your playbook:
1. Add website structured data — code on your homepage that states your preferred site name — and include a short version too.
2. Make sure your homepage title and logo use that exact same name.
3. Keep the name consistent across your social profiles and listings so Google sees one clear answer.
Google pulls the name from your homepage signals first. Conflicting names confuse it and it may pick the wrong one.
