Most "related posts" plugins pick by recency or shared tag, not by topical or commercial relevance. So your money page links out to three random blog posts on every view, and your blog posts link to each other in a tidy little circle that goes nowhere important.
You built a machine that dilutes PageRank evenly across your weakest URLs. Congratulations.
If you must run the widget, hard-code curation on your top 50 pages so they point <i>up</i> the funnel, not sideways into content limbo.
Anyone got data showing auto-related widgets moved rankings? Or just "engagement"?
