<b>Your breadcrumbs are doing nothing for rankings. Fight me.</b>
Unpopular opinion: breadcrumb links are a UX feature wearing an SEO costume. They pass a thimble of equity through a single keyword-poor anchor ("Category") that you'd never choose if you were sculpting on purpose.
The schema markup helps your SERP appearance. The actual links? They mostly re-confirm a hierarchy Google already crawled from your URL structure and nav. You're not "reinforcing" anything new.
If breadcrumbs are your internal linking strategy, you don't have one. Put contextual links inside the body where the anchor can actually say something.
Tell me which page ever ranked <i>because</i> of a breadcrumb. I'll wait.
